#Montreal Canadiens’ P.K. Subban Plants a Kiss on McGuire after Game 7

If you live in Canada, there is a very good chance you missed this on Wednesday night, a few minutes after the Montreal Canadiens eliminated the Boston Bruins from the Stanley Cup playoffs. And that is too bad.

P.K. Subban, the ascendant Canadiens defenceman, was still in his equipment during an interview with NBC after a 3-1 in Game 7. With the win — earned on the road, no less — the Canadiens advance to face the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference final, which begins in Montreal on Saturday.

Pierre McGuire, the long-time TSN analyst, was holding the microphone.
“Listen, we’re moving on,” Subban says. “Character bunch of guys. There’s not a better group of guys that I want to do it with.”

“Congratulations,” McGuire says. “We’ll see you Saturday afternoon in Montreal for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final, P.K.”

“Yeah, baby,” Subban says, leaning in to plant a kiss on the interviewer’s cheek.

McGuire dissolves into laughter, and Subban claps his hands as he walks away.
