Mother's Touching Letter Accepting 13-year-old Gay Son

A gentle gesture of unconditional love from a mother to her gay son has gone viral online.
When 13-year-old Connor came out to his parents, his mother wrote him a touching letter explaining that she will always support and love him, regardless of his sexuality.
After a photo of the note was posted to aNoteToMyKid.org in March, it immediately began circulating on social media

The website is a project of PFLAG National, allowing the parents, families and friends of the LGBTQ community to share their support online.

In the uplifting note, the unidentified mother wrote that she wanted to give Connor something 'tangible' as a reminder of her unconditional love for him.
'I am pretty proud that we have the kind of relationship in which you felt comfortable coming out to me at 13 years old,' she wrote.

'I am hoping that we have created an environment in our house in which you know you are loved, you are safe, and that we will support you and fight for you.
'Dad and I love you very much. You are growing into such an amazing young man. You are pure potential. We can’t wait to see where it takes you!'

Last year, a father wrote his son a similar note after overhearing him telling a friend on the phone he was planning to come out to his family
