1. Montreal
Can’t go to the City of Lovers – Paris? No worries! Montreal is a great destination for couples! Perhaps, it won’t immediately strike you as a perfect exotic destination, but you can discover the historic Old Quarter surrounded by late 19th-century buildings and feel like you’re in Paris. Plus, French is the official language in Montreal. You and your significant other can browse antique shops, ride bikes along the canal, walk along the waterfront and enjoy your dinner in great bistros.
2. St. Martin/St Maarten
If you are looking for secluded beaches, romantic restaurants, spas and numerous outdoor activities St. Martin/St Maarten is a great choice. The island is shared by the French and Dutch, thus it has two names. The culture of St. Martin/St Maarten is evident – Dutch to the south, French to the north. The white sand beaches are stunning, the snorkeling and diving are top-notch and the cuisine is excellent
3. Togean Islands
Lying inside one of the bays of the big Indonesian island of Sulawesi, the Togean Islands are one of the best exotic destinations for couples in South East Asia, especially if you are dreaming of retreating to a secluded oceanfront cottage on a quiet beach with crystal clear waters. Spend your time together snorkeling, diving, viewing the wildlife, swinging in a beach hammock, island hopping, and at night cuddle up next to a bonfire. Sometimes locals throw impromptu beach parties where the fresh fish and beer are plentiful.
4. Lamu
Lamu is the tiny island located off the coast of Kenya in East Africa. Although most of Kenya’s coast is peppered with exclusive resorts and well-developed tourist areas, Lamu is more secluded. It’s one of the oldest and best-preserved islands of the African continent, and is a center for Islam and Swahili studies. The streets of Lamu Town boast a distinctive Arabian vibe. Since there are no cars, you can get around only by shanks’ pony or donkey. Lamu is a perfect place to learn how to sail a dhow. You can also explore the small town and hunt down local arts and crafts. There are also many deserted golden sand beaches, so find a spot and enjoy some quality time together.
5. Fernando de Noronha
Another lovely destination for couples is the secluded Brazilian archipelago of Fernando de Noronha. Probably the best thing is that the islands are uninhabited. There are only several people who service the discreet tourist facilities. That’s why you and your sweetheart can spend a lot of time enjoying each other in a paradise. Stunning beaches (several only reachable by boat), fascinating flora and fauna, excellent diving make it one of the best exotic destinations for couples.
6. Ile Royale

Ile Royale is a great exotic destination with an exotic history. Between 1852 and 1939, Ile Royale was used as a French penal colony along with neighbors Ile Diable and Ile St. Joseph. The islands are located off the coast of French Guinea, Equatorial South America. One of the three with any tourist facilities, Ile Royale is a perfect place for couples to spend some quality time together. The small settlement has a beautiful harbor for great meals overlooking the ocean.
7. Fez
A beautiful city in Morocco, Fez has a lot to offer for couples, especially for those who want to be away from the noise of the modern city. From getting a wonderful shopping experience at the souk to strolling around the old-walled city of Medina, there are many things to do together. To really enjoy Fez, stay in a traditional Moroccan house, a Riad. This city will take you to the old world with its antiquity, allowing you to enjoy each other without the constant sounds of a modern city.
8. North Captiva Island

If the two of you are dreaming of whiling away the time in a swaying hammock, drinking cool cocktails to accompany a breathtaking sunset, then North Captiva Island is for you. Only accessible by sea plane or boat, North Captiva is located off the southwest coast of Florida. There are many things to do from biking, hiking to golf. North Captiva Island is really worth a visit!
9. Krabi
A beautiful secluded Island in Thailand, Krabi is perfect for spending time at the awesome beaches with hues of blue and green seas with some level of privacy. The island has great resorts where both of you will really be pampered. Make sure you try halal food that is easily available here. If you want to enjoy each other while gazing at the spectacular sea views, Krabi is a great destination!
10. Mauritius
Mauritius is one of the best destinations where you will be able to spend time together enjoying stunning beaches with plenty of privacy. It is a wonderful island made up of amazing blue lagoons, unspoiled white sands, coral islets and a warm, multicultural atmosphere that will leave you and your partner lost in this secluded place.
There are many spas to get both of you pampered, refreshed and energized. The cuisine of Mauritius is excellent! It is a blend of Chinese, Creole, Indian and European influences. However, it can be difficult to find halal food here. You will have to make prior arrangements with the hotel or you can find halal food in localities that have Muslim communities.
