Winnipeg Folk Festival

The Winnipeg Folk Festival is a summer folk music festival held in Birds Hill Provincial Park, near Winnipeg, Manitoba. It features a variety of folk artists from around the world, as well as a number of local artists. The 40th edition of the Winnipeg Folk Festival takes place Wednesday, July 10 to Sunday, July 14 and the line-up, once again, brings together a diversity of world-class music for what will be a celebratory and memorable event filled with fun, friends and  musical discovery.

The five-day Festival kicks off with one of Canada’s most renowned, multi-award winning acts City and Colour, Grammy-nominated North Carolina band The Avett Brothers and Winnipeg’s own bluegrass/folk globetrotters Oh My Darling. The Avett Brothers and City and Colour have been appearing together throughout Canada and the US – and it’s been a recipe for success as they have gone on to sell out notable venues including the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto and the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
