CheckThisOut: Game of Thrones Theme Wedding

Game of Thrones and happy weddings usually go together like a Lannister and a Stark — not at all.

But one brave couple, Kerry Ford and Darren Prew, broke Westerosi traditions by throwing a Game of Thrones-themed wedding with (spoiler alert) a happy ending. The ceremony, set at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire, England, involved the entire bridal party dressing up as characters of the show.

 
A team of artists spent 50 hours on making the bridal party look like characters from the show, meticulously drawing Dothraki war stripes and White Walker frowns. The bride and groom dressed up as Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, respectively — two characters that have not met in the show, but are very much in love in this parallel reality.

The couple also had costumes created specially for the occasion.

Ford, who happens to be a cake designer, created a spectacular GoT-inspired multi-layered wedding cake, which took a total of 20 hours and two weeks to craft. It was was appropriately cut by a 4-foot sword at the ceremony.

The two lucky super fans were chosen by a British video-on-demand provider called Blinkbox, which held a contest for the lavishly themed wedding.

Hopefully GoT stands the test of time, so the couple won't have to explain when they show their children these extravagant wedding photos.
