Two men and a woman are facing a number of charges after suspects involved in a mêlée at a Westwood area restaurant early Saturday sprayed pepper spray and shot a Taser at security guards trying to kick them out.

The suspects were drinking at the restaurant in the 400 block of Westwood Drive around 12:30 a.m. when police allege they became belligerent with staff and were asked to leave.

It was while two male security guards escorted the party to the door that one of the suspects sprayed them with pepper spray and another fired a Taser at one of the guards.

Neither of the guards was seriously injured, and they were able to control the suspects until police arrived.

Alvin Mason, 44, of Winnipeg is facing a number of charges including two counts of assault with a weapon.

Sheena Gagnon, 28, of Winnipeg, is also facing a long list of charges including assault with a weapon and possession of methamphetamine

A 21-year-old man is charged with possession of a weapon and unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon.
