US Mom Beats Daughter for Failing Classes & Forces Her to Wear Embarrassing Shirt

A Florida-based mom has been arrested for child abuse after beating her middle school daughter for getting all Fs in her classes.

In addition to beating her daughter with a metal-studded belt, 30-year-old Melany Joyce Alexander also made her wear an embarrassing t-shirt announcing her failure.

A woman beheaded in a Saudi street for killing her husband's 6yr old daughter screams her innocence in graphic footage of the execution uploaded to the Internet. An executioner in Mecca, the holy city, took two swings to hack off Layla bint Abdul Mutaleb Bassim's head, after she was found guilty of beating the girl and raping her with a broomstick.

The incident has sparked outrage in the country, but not because of the brutal punishment meted out. Rather Saudis are up in arms that the execution was filmed and posted online, where the woman's family might see it.

Now Saudi authorities have arrested someone for filming the execution, local media reports. But it was not clear what crime he has been arrested for.

Indian Father Attempts to Bury Daughter Alive Because He Disliked Having a Female Child

Indian police have arrested a man for allegedly trying to bury his 9-year old daughter alive in the north eastern state of Tripura, police said on Saturday.

A local police official in Sipahijala District, Uttam Bhaumick narrated the incident to newsmen.

Neighbours alerted the police after they saw Abul Hussain trying to bury his daughter in a pit on Friday in the backyard of his residence in Putia village in Sipahijala district.

US Father Vows to Leave Case “In Hands of God” After Throwing 5 Year Old Daughter Off Bridge

A 25-year-old Florida-based father, John Jonchuck Jr. is currently being held at a county jail after killing his 5-year-old daughter, Phoebe, by throwing her off a bridge.

CNN reports that during a video hearing, Jonchuck was asked whether he would like a lawyer appointed for him, as he was unable to hire his own lawyer. In response he stated that he did not need a lawyer. “I want to leave it in the hands of God,” he said.

The accused was arrested on Thursday in St. Petersburg, Florida, after police discovered him driving at 100 mph. Officers followed  him, attempting to stop him. He then parked on the Dick Misener Bridge, and the officers ordered him to remain in the car.

A UK mom has been given a 12 month suspended prison sentence for stealing her daughter’s £20,000 inheritance.

Denvar Bathie, 23, received a £20,000 inheritance, from her dad when he passed away. She intended to save up money for her wedding and a mortgage on a property, and wanted to make sure that she wouldn’t be tempted to spend it indiscriminately.

Bathie’s mother, 44-year-old Trudy Collins then convinced her to hand over her bank card, so she could keep it safe in the attic, so she wouldn’t be tempted to spend the money.

Trusting her mother, Bathie followed her advice.

'Can everyone just chill he didn't hit my mom don't know how that stupid rumour came up,' the 15-year old wrote on her twitter page.

For voters in the area around St. Thomas, Ont., who might be weary of mean, nasty, personal campaigns that are short on substance, next year's federal election might just hold a pleasant surprise.

Municipal politician Lori Baldwin-Sands has been acclaimed as the Liberal candidate in Elgin-Middlesex-London. Her daughter, financial-sector worker Catherine Sloan, has a shot at the Conservative nomination coming up on Dec. 6.

Little chance here of the campaigns going negative. Mother and daughter say they are committed to fighting it out on the issues.

"People can learn from us, mother and daughter, that we are both strong, independent, we have our own voice, and we really focus on the issues themselves," said Baldwin-Sands.
