Shocking! The execution that sickened even ISIS: Woman accused of adultery shot by Al Qaeda in Syria

DailyMail- Shocking video has emerged showing a veiled woman being publicly executed by Al Qaeda for alleged adultery - a sentence that has sickened even the Islamic State. The footage shows the woman, who is wearing a black robe and a hijab (headscarf), being ordered to crouch down on the pavement in front of a crowd of masked jihadi fighters in Syria.

Behind her, a militant declares that she has been convicted by an Islamic court of being an adulterer, condemning her for allegedly running a brothel.

A gunmen then pulls out a pistol and shoots her in the head with a single shot as chants of Allahu Akbar - Arabic for God is greatest - ring out from the baying mob.

Lebanon imposes visas on Syrians refugees

Overwhelmed by a massive influx of desperate refugees, Lebanon began imposing unprecedented visa restrictions on Syrians on Monday, including those fleeing their country’s civil war, AFP reports.

“Today we began implementing the new entry measures and Syrians at the borders have begun presenting their documents to enter,” a source at Lebanon’s general security agency said.

The visa restrictions are the first in the history of the two countries and come as Lebanon struggles to deal with more than 1.1 million Syrian refugees.

The influx has tested the country’s limited resources, as well as the patience of its citizens, particularly as security has deteriorated.

A Syrian boy, Usaid Barho being held by Isis has managed to escape their camp after he volunteered to be a suicide bomber. The boy aged 14, who joined the group because he believed they practiced Islam, was later brainwashed to see Shi’ites as their enemies, and was also told if he wasn’t ready to fight them, the Shi’ites were ready to rape his mother. 

In the camp, he was given an option of becoming a fighter or a suicide bomber, but he turned down being a fighter because he might be killed at a battle front.

Jordanian Information Minister Mohammad Momani told AP that First Lieutenant Mu'ath Safi Yousef al-Kaseasbeh's plane was shot down by 'ground fire'. This is the first time a foreign soldier will fall into ISIS hand since the U.S-led coalition began its air campaign against the extremists.

The 27 year old pilot is said to be from a prominent Jordanian family. His family said Mu'ath felt it was a religious duty to fight ISIS because they were 'distorting the true spirit of Islam'. His family has publicly begged for mercy, asking ISIS to release him but that's probably not going to happen..

Over One Million People Wounded In Syria Civil War

One million people have been wounded during Syria's civil war and diseases are spreading as regular supplies of medicine fail to reach patients, the World Health Organization's Syria representative said.

A plunge in vaccination rates from 90 percent before the war to 52 percent this year and contaminated water have added to the woes, allowing typhoid and hepatitis to advance, Elizabeth Hoff said in an interview late on Thursday.

More than 200,000 people have been killed in Syria's conflict, which began in March 2011 with popular protests against President Bashar al-Assad and spiraled into civil war after a crackdown by his security forces.

"In Syria, they have a million people injured as a direct result of the war. You can see it in the country when you travel around. You see a lot of amputees," said Hoff. "This is the biggest problem."

Tens of thousands of Christians have fled the Kurdish-dominated Hasaka province over the past three years because of an ongoing civil war, economic pressures and the rise of the Islamic State, which captured large swaths of Iraq and Syria earlier this year.

Another Al Jazeera Journalist killed In Syria

Al Jazeera Media Network has sadly announced the death of its Arabic correspondent in Syria, Mahran Al Deeri, who died on Wednesday, 10 December 2014, while covering battles in the city of Al Sheikh Maskin in rural Daraa.

According to his family members, Mahran was killed while taking cover from regime fire as his car hit the vehicle of rebel fighters when he turned off his headlights to avoid being targeted. This is the same area where three other journalists from the Orient Network were targeted and killed three days ago, they noted.

A global call for help resettling more than 100,000 Syrian refugees must be answered in part by Canada, the United Nations refugee agency representative in Ottawa says.

The latest appeal by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees represents an opportunity, Furio De Angelis said in an interview with The Canadian Press.

“Canada is a very important country to the UNHCR not only for the support it gives to refugee programs but also for the leadership that it provides in terms of international standards of global protection,” De Angelis said.

“This is another occasion for countries who have a leading role in global refugee protection to really show their strength.”

The UNHCR is making a pitch at meetings in Geneva on Tuesday for countries to help resettle more than 100,000 refugees from the Syrian civil war over the next two years.
