US Elections 2016: Ted Cruz drops out of the race as Donald Trump wins Indiana

US Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz dropped out of the presidential race after Donald Trump won Indiana state thereby making Donald Trump the presumptive Republican nominee.

But John Kasich, the other remaining Republican presidential candidate, who has only won 1 state since the Primary election started and only had 7.5% votes in Indiana is still in the race, he has refused to drop out.

Ted Cruz fought really hard, refusing to give up on his campaign but Tuesday night, he announced he was dropping out of the race after he lost Indiana to Donald Trump. It was an emotional announcement that left his parents teary eyed (That's his mum sitting in the above photo). He was also emotional as he made his speech. He said he was dropping out because there was no way he could win the GOP Presidential nominee after losing Indiana.

Donald Trump won with 53.3%, Ted Cruz 36.7% and John Kasich had 7.5%.

While Bernie Sanders won Indiana with 52.7% votes and Hilary Clinton-47.3% 

How Come! Canadian Police Force, RCMP Misconduct Jumps By 158%

The number of misconduct investigations the RCMP launched into their own staff went up by 158 per cent in 2015 over the previous year, leaving 56 officers facing possible dismissal over allegations of serious misconduct.

Details of the development are contained in a document posted to the RCMP website called Results and Respect in the RCMP Workplace.

The document appears to be a means of updating the public on how the national police force has followed through on the findings and recommendations from the Mounties' Gender-Based Assessment and Gender and Respect Action Plan, in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

How Come! RBC Customer's Bank Accounts Wiped Out 3 Times By Fraud

Meghann Johnston has seen her RBC bank accounts looted three times by someone who stole her identity. The fraudsters walked away with tens of thousands of dollars. 

Johnston calls it "an incredibly stressful" situation. 

Each time, a fraudster walked into an RBC branch during business hours pretending to be Johnston, presented fake ID and was allowed to withdraw money from Johnston's account. 

The first time it happened in Toronto in 2012, Johnston was a law student. She was home studying when the call came from RBC telling her she had to get to her branch right away.

"I found out that somebody had gone into a branch and was impersonating me and had withdrawn quite a large sum of money from my student line of credit," she told Go Public. 

Johnston said the fraudster took $26,000. The bank gave her the money back and launched an investigation. Johnston had to go through the process of changing all her accounts and her automatic payments and had to pay the associated fees.

How Come! Dozens of school officials, teachers assaulted in Winnipeg in past 2 years

Dozens of school staff, including teachers, have been assaulted in Winnipeg in the past two years, according to documents obtained by the CBC’s I-Team.

One in seven assaults documented by the Winnipeg School Division in its suspension reports between September 2012 and January 2014 were against a staff member.

In total, 931 physical assaults took place. There were 134 attacks that were on staff and 797 on students. 

“Wow. That's high,” said school trustee Mike Babinsky in an interview with the CBC News I-Team.

“Those kids come to school with so much baggage,” said former teacher, Ron East. “I'm here to tell you as one of those statistics that it's not okay. It just isn't."

East suffered a life-changing brain injury after a 15-year-old boy assaulted him on a St. James school playground.

Son Murdered Father Over $200 Allowance

The 30-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed his hedge fund manager father Sunday afternoon reportedly did so after an argument over a small cut in his monthly allowance. TheNew York Post reports that Thomas Gilbert Jr. murdered his father Thomas Gillbert Sr. after learning that his allowance had been reduced by $200; the New York Daily News puts the number at $300.

From the New York Post:

"[Gilbert Sr.] was cutting his allowance. He had been giving him $2,400 a month for rent and $600 for spending money, and he was cutting that to $400 a month for spending money," a source said about Thomas Gilbert Sr., founder of the Wainscott Capital hedge fund.

"They had argued about it before."

Florida Man decapitates mother with axe on New Year’s Eve

Christian Gomez, 23, (pictured left) has been arrested for decapitating his own mother's head with an axe on New Year's eve at her home in Tampa because she asked him to put some boxes away, Florida police say.

His brother called police to report the gruesome scene and when the police arrived, they discovered the headless body of 48 year old Maria Suarez-Cassagne (pictured right) near some garbage cans. Christian, who is said to be schizophrenic and has a history of mental illness, had fled in a bicycle before the police arrived but was arrested a few blocks away from the home.

When arrested, Florida police claim Christian admitted to killing his mother, saying he had been plotting his mother's murder for two days because he was tired of her nagging. James Duncan Keats fired as sexual assault case continues.  The Nova Scotia paramedic accused of sexually assaulting a 71-year-old patient has lost his job.

James Duncan Keats is on trial in Windsor for allegedly assaulting the woman twice: once in her home and another time during an ambulance ride to hospital.

Keats was suspended from his job when the charges were first laid, but a spokeswoman for Emergency Health Services says they have since fired him after details revealed in court show he violated their ethical code of conduct.

A Texas grand jury has officially cleared an officer of any wrongdoing after he fatally shot an unarmed man back in January.

Officer Juventino Castro will face no charges in the deadly shooting of 26-year-old Jordan Baker, Chron News reports.

Baker was shot by Castro in an alley behind a Houston strip mall. Castro was off duty at the time, and Baker was unarmed. Castro said he believed Baker matched the description of a robbery suspect who had targeted the strip mall in the past, ABC13 reported at the time.

In a police report filed after the killing, Castro said there was a scuffle and a foot chase into the alley after the officer asked to see Baker's ID. Castro told investigators he shot Baker after the man allegedly charged the cop.

Chicago pastor drops dead singing Pharrell's 'Happy' from the pulpit

Pastor Gordon A. Humphrey Jr. of United Ministries gave his last service on Sunday.

The 60-year-old pastor was preaching at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago and singing Pharrell Williams' hit song "Happy" when he suddenly collapsed at the pulpit.

"I'm not sure if they determined the cause of death but it's been said he may have had a heart attack," Pastor Greg Hunter, a mentee of Humphrey, told the Christian Post.

Members of Humphrey's congregation immediately came to the pastor's aid but to no avail.

"They did call paramedics right away. They had people in the church that are in the medical field working on him as well and he was taken to the hospital," Hunter said.

Up to the time of his death, Humphrey had served as a senior pastor in Olivet Church in Oakland, California; Olivet Church in Stockton, California; and the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, where his father, Gordon Humphrey, Sr., pastored for some 40 years before him.

ExcuseMe! 10 year old boy beats a 90 year old woman to death

Tristen Kurilla from Pennsylvania, (pictured above) did. He beat a 90 year old woman until she died.

He is currently being held in the adult jail as he awaits trial. He is the youngest person ever to face a murder charge in Pennsylvania.

Here's what he did. Tristen was visiting his grandfather in October this year. According to what he later told police, he entered the room of 90 year old Helen Novak who lived with his grand dad on Oct 11 to ask her a question. He said Helen screamed at him and told him to leave her room. He said he lost his temper, picked the woman's wooden cane and attacked the woman who sitting in her bed.
