Oops! Kanye West New Album Not That Great

A few days ago, Kanye said his new album Waves formerly known as Swish will be the 'greatest album of all time. Erm, insiders aren't so sure...

From Page Six

Our source, who has heard tracks from “Waves,” tells us West shouldn’t be so cocky: “It’s not the greatest album ever made. The people he’s getting feedback from are not the same as when he’d go to Jay Z to get feedback. Now, it’s from Kris Jenner. The stuff he’s done lately is dumbed down because of the Kardashians, but he’s still brilliant"

The killing of unarmed black men Michael Brown and Eric Garner by police officers was voted the top news story of 2014 in a survey of news directors and editors around the country.

Police killings, and the federal investigations and civil unrest they unleashed, came out on top from among the 85 votes cast with 22 first-place votes, in the Associated Press poll. Voters placed the Ebola outbreak in West Africa as second biggest, and the rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria third biggest story of the year.

The poll was conducted before the U.S. announced it would re-establish diplomatic relations with Cuba.

These, in order, are the top ten stories of the year as determined by the AP poll.

Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose Wears 'I Can't Breathe' Shirt At NBA Game

View image on Twitter

Andrew Hart | Huff
Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose warmed up for his game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night wearing a T-shirt with the words "I can't breathe," paying tribute to Eric Garner, the unarmed black man killed by a police officer's chokehold in New York.

In a video of Garner's arrest for selling untaxed cigarettes, the 43-year-old can be heard repeating "I can't breathe" until his body goes limp. The phrase has become a rallying cry for those protesting abusive police tactics and how law enforcement treats black people.

A grand jury in Staten Island voted Wednesday not to indict New York City police officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Garner. The decision came the week after a grand jury decided to not indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the killing of black 18-year-old Michael Brown.

This isn't the first instance of professional athletes using this form of protest. Last month, five St. Louis Rams players entered the field with their hands raised as a form of surrender. Some witnesses said Michael Brown had his hands up when shot, and the gesture, along with the phrase "Hands up, don't shoot," has been embraced by demonstrators nationwide.

Eric Garner Grand Jury Decision Sparks #Crimingwhilewhite Confessions

A day after the police officer who killed Eric Garner (a black man) in a choke hold was cleared by a grand jury, white people used Twitter to highlight police racial bias in the US...confessing to crimes they committed that police let them get away with. This is in protest of police brutality on blacks in America. They used the hashtag #‎crimingwhilewhite and it's been trending since yesterday.

Jason Ross, a writer for The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon first tweeted his own experience and called on others to share their stories.

Selfie Culture Sparks Rise in Plastic Surgery

15000 Selfie

The Selfie craze is leading to more plastic surgeries in the world.

Ever since Ellen Degeneres broke Twitter with the Academy Awards Selfie and Kim Kardashian-West discovered her best Selfie side and pout, the self-portrait has been sweeping the world, one click at as time.

However, recent reports have shown that the rise in Selfies has also caused an increase in plastic surgeries in the world. According to Reuters.com, plastic surgeons have reported that they have experienced a boom in business with more and more people coming to them to have surgeries ranging from an eye lid lift to Rhinoplasty (nose reconstruction).

One of those cases was that of New-York-based Dental Hygienist Jennifer Reynolds, who was uncomfortable with her looks and never took Selfies or liked being tagged in photos. The 34-year-old reached out to a surgeon to have her nose fixed and now feels more comfortable about her looks.

Gym classes that promise a plump posterior are in high demand. A surgery that pumps fat into the buttocks is gaining popularity. And padded panties that give the appearance of a rounder rump are selling out.

The U.S. booty business is getting a big bump. Companies are cashing in on growing demand from women seeking the more curvaceous figures of their favourite stars, who flaunt their fuller rear ends.

Nicki Minaj raps about her “big fat” butt in “Anaconda.” Reality-star Kim Kardashian posts photos of hers on Instagram. And in the music video for “Booty,” Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea spend four minutes rubbing their curvy bottoms together. At one point, they slap each other on the booty.

As a result of the pop culture moment the butt is having, sales for Booty Pop, which hawks $22 foam padded panties on its website, are up 47 per cent in the last six months from the same period last year.

Susan Bloomstone, Booty Pop’s co-founder, says customers have asked for larger sizes. So, the Boston-based company will begin selling pads that are 25 per cent larger. “People just want more booty,” she says.
