Parents Boycott Church After Reverend Says Santa Is Not Real

Parents have spoken of their disgust after a clergywoman told children that Father Christmas is not real.

Rev Margaret McPhee made the mistake during a choir concert for primary school children from Stalham Academy, in Norfolk.

During the service at St Mary's Church in the town, the curate asked pupils what they thought Christmas was about.

When one child said "Father Christmas", she replied that he was make-believe and not real.
Angry parents posted on Facebook to express their disappointment over the incident on Monday evening.

One wrote: "Sorry my child will not attend any more church services again, she would not like it if we said there was no 'God'."

A Burlington bar owner has launched a proposed $1.4-billion class-action lawsuit against the LCBO and Beer Store over a secret “conspiracy” to limit competition.

David Hughes, owner of The Poacher, is taking the legal action on behalf of beer-drinking Canadians, according to his notice of action, filed in the Ontario Superior Court on Friday.

“The action arises from a conspiracy to fix, raise, maintain or stabilize prices of beer in Ontario,” the notice reads.

“During the conspiracy period, the defendants participated in illegal and secretive discussions and made agreement relating to prices and distribution areas of beer in Ontario,” it continues.

The allegations have not been proved in court.

Drake spotted for the first time since fight with Diddy

Rapper Drake emerged for the first since that fight with Diddy outside a club in Miami on Monday night. The fight reportedly landed Drake in hospital but he looked unscathed as he unloaded shopping bags from his SUV following a shopping spree at the high-end Webster mall in Miami.

Update | Diddy punched Drake over a song, not Cassie

There were reports yesterday that Diddy punched Drake at a night club after he disrespected Cassie. Well, Diddy did put his hands on Drake, but it wasn't over Cassie or any other woman. According to TMZ, it was over a song, "0 to 100/ The Catch Up" which was just nominated for two Grammys - Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

Our sources say, producer Boi-1da had given both Diddy and Drake a song to record more than 8 months ago. We're told Diddy sat on the song, which frustrated Drake because he wanted to record it. So recently Drake recorded the song on his own and it did well, which pissed Diddy off.

Diddy saw Drake at LIV Monday for the first time since the song was released. Sources close to Diddy say he confronted Drake, who just blew him off, and that's when Diddy said, "You'll never disrespect me again," and then punched him. 

We're told Drake ended up at an ER because in the ruckus he hit his shoulder and exacerbated an old injury.

Disgruntled man hurls snake at Saskatchewan Tim Hortons worker over sandwich dispute

Two men are facing mischief charges after a sandwich order sent them into a hissy fit at a Tim Hortons restaurant in Saskatoon.

Police say the 20-year-olds began arguing with an employee because they wanted their onions diced.

The argument got worse, and one of the men pulled a snake from his friend’s pocket and threw it behind the counter.

Officers called to the scene were able to quickly locate the snake and determined it was non-poisonous.

The two men were arrested nearby.

Police have found a temporary home for the snake until it can be released into the wild next spring.
